The Perfect Boon

Lord, I am grateful for the healing artThat dawned upon me at despair's black brink,For grace that followed fast my change of heart,For each pure thought that came to me to linkMy consciousness with Mind's eternal might; For trials that purge away the cumbering drossAnd show Love watching through the darkling night,And Truth's triumphant crown beyond the cross.

As Through a Glass

O God, I thank Thee for the meadow brownsAnd for the yellow hay,For bird and bee and bluey dragon flyAbout my path to-dayI thank Thee greatly for the hazelnutsThat hang in the high hedge,And for the berry blossoming so rareAlong the water's edge.

"When the sun was setting"

At Capernaum,On Galilee:

Purity

Hidden in the earth's great heartLie little humble seeds;Yet they unfold,And, gently pushing upward to the light,Grow into lovely lilies,Clothed in the garb of purity.
May Love divine thy close companion be,And guide thy footsteps all along life's way,And may Love give to thee that wondrous peaceThe world can neither give nor take away.

Christian Science

There is a ring of beauty round the earth,The happy thoughts held for another's good.

To Know

IT is a very easy thingTo know that Thou art nigh,When all the land lies smilingBeneath a tender sky.

"The smile of God" *

A ROSE —"the smile of God"!I bow my head in silent, reverent praise; Its beauty rareLeads on to visions pure, and thought ascendsIn swift-winged prayer.
