O, May I walk so close to Thee, from hour to hour,That ever on my upward way,When doubts or fears my path assail,When evil claims my footsteps fail,I then may have the grace to say:I walk with God, and know there is no other power!

The love of God is shownIn smile or kindly greeting,Encouraging the burdened oneTo see that fear is fleeting.

Companioned ever on life's wayBy Love divine,My path illumed by Truth's clear ray,What joy is mine!
