Melody

A song is singing on my lips,Of faith, of hope, of praise—A song of faith that overcomes,That bringeth victory;Of hope that eagerly awaitsTruth's promised liberty;Of praise that peals adoringlyFor good's supremacy—A song of constant gratitudeFor Love-illumined days!

My Prayer

If I should have some human heart's desire,Which even needful, then, may seem to be,O let me pray with steadfast thought entire:Prepare Thou me for what Thou hast prepared for me!

The demand for church

I like to think of each church that grows up in a community as that community's answered prayer for the presence of the saving Christ—the message of God's love for humanity.

Beauty

My heart ascends in singing praise to Thee,Oh, Mind divine, because that through the clashOf warring wills, aims dwarfed to selfishness,And pleasures vain as bubbles children blow,The light of Thy great Science stands revealed.

Father-Mother God

I KNEW the tender love of GodWhen He forgave my bigotry,And smoothed the roughened path I trodBy guiding and uplifting me.

I Shall Arise

BEHOLD how evil smites my step, And every hour is dark with woe: I shall arise—I shall arise, And humbly to my Father go.

Our Reading Room

YEA, this is God's anointed place, Prepared and furnished by His grace; A jewel hung in holy light, It draws the needy by true might.

Our Father

What kind, strong fingers of a father's hand, Touched with compassion, now could smooth away The sorry traces of this storm-racked day?

A Paean of Praise

Give love To the God of all goodness, Who is healing the heart of its sorrow, Giving strength to the weak, and a voice to the dumb To speak wisdom.
