I CEASE TO SIGH

When circumstances try to press me down,And situations seem a hopeless state,When many minds are clamoring for renownAnd straining to be greater than the great,When unimportant things seem paramountAnd trivial happenings indispensable.

DAYBREAK

Fear not, O Israel, I the Lord am with thee,Guarding and guiding, comforting My child,Safe in the tumult thy true selfhood hiding,Steering thy bark through waters that are wild.

THE CALL

One by one the errors fall,Human voices fade away;Nearer, clearer, comes the call.

DAILY BREAD

Father , we thank Thee for our daily bread,For grace that gives compassion for the weakIn faith, that gives us gentleness to speakThe tender word that sets the captive freeFrom sin and hatred and infirmity—The potent word that makes unreal the wrongAnd fills the way with harmony and song.

SAFETY
