WATCHER AT BETHLEHEM

First my ear caught the silver sound of a bell.
I am listeningWhen all sense of self is put away,When fear has fled and error's nightHas been replaced by Love's revealing day,When with calm trust I knowThat God owns every hour,When I can wait, assuredThe Father with His love and powerMaps and marks the willing traveler's way—A way harmonious, bright, wherein each step is shown,Because the traveler makes true listening his own.

THE NEW BIRTH

As thought begins to soar above the earth,And mortal weights release their fearful clutch,There dawns a deepening hope, a heartfelt touchOf Life and Love which signals the new birth.

LOVE IS SUPREME

Who loves the Lord above all elseShall every moment findAll things the Father hath are his,Within the realm of Mind.

"STRETCH FORTH THINE HAND"

O timid , fearful one.

I CEASE TO SIGH

When circumstances try to press me down,And situations seem a hopeless state,When many minds are clamoring for renownAnd straining to be greater than the great,When unimportant things seem paramountAnd trivial happenings indispensable.

DAYBREAK

Fear not, O Israel, I the Lord am with thee,Guarding and guiding, comforting My child,Safe in the tumult thy true selfhood hiding,Steering thy bark through waters that are wild.
