I CEASE TO SIGH

When circumstances try to press me down,And situations seem a hopeless state,When many minds are clamoring for renownAnd straining to be greater than the great,When unimportant things seem paramountAnd trivial happenings indispensable.

DAYBREAK

Fear not, O Israel, I the Lord am with thee,Guarding and guiding, comforting My child,Safe in the tumult thy true selfhood hiding,Steering thy bark through waters that are wild.

I saw that in order to find my life, I had to first lose it—that is, lose all sense of life as material.

DAILY BREAD

Father , we thank Thee for our daily bread,For grace that gives compassion for the weakIn faith, that gives us gentleness to speakThe tender word that sets the captive freeFrom sin and hatred and infirmity—The potent word that makes unreal the wrongAnd fills the way with harmony and song.

SAFETY

Fortressed in Love, you need not fear the night:Companioned by Soul, you will not find it bleak.

THANKSGIVING

With grateful hearts we bow, dear Lord,Acknowledging with one accordThe proofs of Love's effectual powerAvailable in every hour.

ENDLESS DAY

How old are you?

CLASS EXPERIENCE

With feet unshod we come before the ChristTo learn of Life, the One immaculate;with purer vision, know as we are known.

PREPARATION

In preparation for the feastHumility must be increasedTill prideful arguments have ceased.

SUPERABUNDANCE

Why do we ask so little, when God has given so much?

"I AM ALL"

When night descends upon thy troubled heart,And earth's long, silent shadows on thee fall,Within the sheltering arms of Love find rest,And hear its sweet assurance, "I am All!"

HEARING

Lord , give me an earso sensitive to goodthat I may hearthe least refrain of Love;so deaf to error's claimthat I may hearnought but the melodyof Love divine.
