Where once the gifts of earth seemed very clear,And often labored for with meager fruit.

THE LIGHTED WAY

When first the way-worn pilgrim sees the brightlone daystar gleamingthrough riven cloud banks of his false belief,his heart is lifted up in glad relief.

GRATITUDE
