A WEEK OF UNIVERSAL PRAYER

It was decided by the World Council of Churches at the Assembly in Evanston, Illinois, that the week of January 18 to 25, 1955, be set aside as one of universal prayer.
Isaiah's prophecy of the Messiah—the son of a virgin, whose name should be called Immanuel — was that he would "refuse the evil, and choose the good".

THE ONENESS OF GOD AND MAN

The oneness of God and man, which Christian Science reveals, does not imply their sameness.
In the twentieth chapter of Matthew it is recorded that the Master, Christ Jesus, related a parable about a householder who owned a vineyard.
The understanding that God is eternal and indestructible Life and that man is forever inseparable from and reflects this Life, is of great importance to the Christian Scientist.
