The Christian Science Sunday School has an opportunity and a responsibility that extends beyond the immediate needs of its own pupils to the welfare of the whole community.

In her Dedicatory Sermon, delivered in January, 1895, our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, refers to the children's contribution to the original Mother Church edifice as the centerpiece of its history, and declares, "The children are destined to witness results which will eclipse Oriental dreams".
