In the Christian Science Bible Lesson

It was the day of her piano performance—in front of a judge!—and this teen felt full of nerves . . . until an unexpected message from God shifted her whole mindset.
I made up my mind that I would stop thinking so much about myself and start considering how I could help others. As I began to put this into practice, remarkable things started to happen.
I felt more confident that individual prayer uplifts and spiritualizes the world’s collective mental atmosphere and thus blesses humanity.

Claim your inheritance

We claim our God-given inheritance by consistently acknowledging our status as God’s spiritual creation and disavowing any aspect of mortal, material selfhood.
What a big double-blessing day we had because God’s love always ripples outward. Thank you, God!
God’s light shines. We can keep our eyes open to see it.

Nothing to lose

We should boldly deny that we can be without anything we need, for to accept that we could be is to dishonor God, who ceaselessly provides for the welfare of His entire creation.
The divine message quickly came: “God never leaves us without a safety net.” All fear left me. I was safe, and I knew I could rely on that spiritual fact, despite not knowing how it would manifest itself.
The beauty that never fades is God’s gift to all of His children, and it brings to each heart a bright inner glow of love.

When the future is looming

At a crossroads in her life, this author felt like she had no idea what to do or where to go next. But she was about to find out that God hadn’t abandoned her.

Healing on a hiking trip

Would a hiking trip in the Alps be ruined by a knee injury? This teen turned to prayer to make sure that didn’t happen.
