"Worship God"
Spiritual progress demands that the sin of idolatry be recognized and eliminated.
Idolatry is a misconception of love. It claims to be able to separate love from its divine and only source—God. It can be recognized more quickly when one sees that it usually follows one of three basic patterns: (1) possession-worship (2) self-worship or (3) person-worship.
Idolatry must be eliminated, not only because it breaks the first two commandments See Ex. 20:3-6; but also because it is a prolific source of misery and suffering. Furthermore, it can stifle, obstruct, and even bring to a halt human progress.
