Valuing the Christ
Three times Peter denied Christ Jesus. Do we sometimes tell ourselves, "If I'd been there, I wouldn't have done that"?
But then when we think about it, perhaps we have to ask ourselves, "Wouldn't I?" or "Haven't I?" Because every time we downgrade anyone, we deny the Christ, the spiritual idea of God, regardless of how good a Christian we think we are.
The Christ, as revealed in Christian Science, is what Jesus taught and lived. It brings to light the truth of all of us. In our real being we're children of God, and as such we include only good. Valuing this spiritual truth, cherishing it above all else, transforms our lives. In fact, it helps us find the good life we're all seeking.
