As a young girl, I was thrilled to know about God

As a young girl, I was thrilled to know about God. I loved the religion in which I was brought up. But as I grew older I had many questions that no one could answer to my satisfaction. The answer generally was, "That's to be accepted on faith." This was not satisfying.

When I learned of Christian Science, though, this was not the answer given. The answers to my questions were real and believable. I knew immediately that this teaching was the truth I had been searching for.

I came upon Christian Science in a very interesting and delightful way. I had spent quite a number of years in a very troubled state of mind. I had done every human thing possible to solve my problems and to ease my ill health. I had been to psychiatrists, group therapy, and a mental hospital. I had looked into spiritualism and the occult. I had used drugs to make me calm and happy. I went to doctors and took a great deal of medicine to cure my ailments. But to no avail. I was having migraines with increasing frequency. There was a throat problem that I was told could never be cured and for which I would have to take medicine for the rest of my life. My marriage was on the verge of collapse. My children were having little direction or help from me, as I was too concerned with my own problems.
