Dwellers in the Hall of Fame
We often hear about or see on TV people who are in various "halls of fame"—football, baseball, basketball, and so on. Then there are those who win Nobel and Pulitzer prizes, Rhodes scholarships, Emmy awards, and those who are listed in Who's Who. To many, these people seem to be in a world apart. They have abilities, positions, salaries, recognition, that most of us achieve only in our daydreams.
But let's ask ourselves what these people have that we don't have. More mental capacity, beauty, initiative, determination, coordination, inspiration, or just plain good luck in inheriting super abilities? Where do these things, these gifts or qualities, come from? Sometimes they appear to come through heredity.
However, if we consider their source from the completely different viewpoint of Christian Science—that God is the only cause and creator, the only real source—we find a startling and revolutionary possibility. We find that everything possible to God is possible to His creation, man, because man, God's likeness, is continually manifesting God. Man expresses wisdom, perfection, spiritual understanding—the infinite ability to manifest grace, beauty, divine energy.
