Smartwatch message forwards healing
Recently, I was moving boxes of supplies from one level of my house to a lower level. This involved navigating a steep and narrow staircase. As I neared the bottom of the staircase with one large box, I missed a step and hurtled the rest of the way down into a bookcase and a wall.
Initially, I was stunned. The next thing I was aware of was a message from my smartwatch. It stated: “It looks like you’ve taken a hard fall.” I said out loud, sarcastically, “Thanks for that update!” In a few moments, I received several prompts on the watch, including the option to contact emergency services.
And then the watch showed a final option: I could reply with “I did not fall.” Aha! I realized that this was an angel message from God, and I sent that response. This prompted me to turn to prayer as explained in Christian Science to challenge the suggestion that an accident or a fall was actually possible (see Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 424). I was immediately reminded of the psalmist’s promise “He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone” (Psalms 91:11, 12). And I was certain that God, Love, was “underlying, overlying, and encompassing all true being” (Science and Health, p. 496)—including mine—right then and there.
