Living in God’s sustaining love, never in limbo
Nothing can strip us of our spiritual birthright, the irrevocable identity and citizenship we all have in common.
Much in our lives is dictated by our birthplace and citizenship. In today’s world, these factors determine what rights we can exercise, including where we can live. But when institutions or outside circumstances compromise or fail to recognize and uphold our rights, it would seem that they can put our lives in limbo.
Do we then have any recourse for stability and happiness—for the right and ability to claim and regain our individual freedoms?
Christian Science teaches that we do. The study of this Science raises thought to a higher, more spiritual, basis, from which we perceive that our real identity includes inherent freedoms and individual rights that come from God, divine Spirit. When we understand that they have their origin in Spirit, are supported by spiritual law, and are therefore indefeasible, we are able to exercise our innate spiritual dominion in order to claim those God-given rights.
