Injured foot healed

When I first began to delve into the study of Christian Science, I tried to put into practice what I was reading.

One day I was working in the administrative office at a children’s primary school, when the power went out. A teacher called for some help, so I took a small staircase to reach the classroom. Not being able to see very well, however, I slipped and fell down the stairs, hitting part of one foot. Two people in the office saw what had happened, and they helped me get up and supported me as I got to a chair.

My eyes teared because of the pain, but I insisted in my thoughts that this could not be—I could not for a moment be outside of God’s goodness and care. I called a Christian Science practitioner for spiritual treatment. I silently prayed the Lord’s Prayer, including its spiritual interpretation given in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Part of it says:
