Damaged foot quickly healed
When it became clear that I needed more storage in my garage, I ordered some cabinets, which then needed to be assembled. Two of the tall, heavy boxes that the cabinets arrived in were leaning against the garage wall, and as I tried to slowly lower one of them to the floor, I lost control of it. The box fell on my foot with great force.
Instead of focusing on the resulting pain, I immediately recalled a passage from the Christian Science textbook that has helped me many times in the past: “Accidents are unknown to God, or immortal Mind, and we must leave the mortal basis of belief and unite with the one Mind, in order to change the notion of chance to the proper sense of God’s unerring direction and thus bring out harmony.
“Under divine Providence there can be no accidents, since there is no room for imperfection in perfection” (Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 424).
