Applies to all
Thanks to Jane Hickson for such a powerful, healing article, “Christ in the classroom” (Sentinel, July 16, 2018). I found her comments so applicable to the current political divisiveness seen in the United States and many other parts of the world. Every spiritual truth the author claimed for her classroom and students easily translates to a prayer for unity, especially as we approach midterm elections.
Ms. Hickson’s use of the definition of children in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy (“The spiritual thoughts and representatives of Life, Truth, and Love,” p. 582) reminded me that it applies to all adults of all political views, since all are representatives of God.
One of the benefits of reading these clear and relevant Sentinel articles is the way they can apply to many areas beyond what the writer describes.
