A swift end to dental pain
I had gone to the dentist to get a broken tooth repaired. At one point during the procedure the dentist told me, “This is going to hurt.” I know she was just trying to alert me so I wouldn’t be surprised by an unexpected jab of pain, but I remember thinking, “Gee, I wish she hadn’t said that.” However, I didn’t feel any pain, so I didn’t give the comment further thought.
When the dentist completed her work, she offered me medication to help manage the pain she was sure I would later feel. I thanked her and told her the medication wouldn’t be necessary.
I have always approached healing from a spiritual basis, meaning that in situations like this I usually pray, acknowledging man as spiritual, not material, as it states in the first chapter of the Bible: “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them” (Genesis 1:27).
