Men and women—supporting, not exploiting, each other
Continued reports of sexual misconduct and harassment have made me consider what the first chapter of Genesis in the Bible means when it talks about God creating man “male and female” and “very good.”
In my early career there were several men I worked with whose demeanor was intimidating and extremely sexually harassing. The flirtations were very frightening.
I considered quitting and finding other work, but I knew I could very likely meet the same situation somewhere else. So to be free from these inappropriate remarks, I sought God’s guidance.
