Disciples’ feast
He waits on
sandy shores.
They fish the Sea
of Galilee until
he calls—
Morning’s over,
nothing’s caught—
cast your net on the right
side and gather
multitudes.*
Leap, disciple,
from your boat.
Swim ashore,
find fish waiting,
become a fisher
of men—a chosen
apostle.
Free and fed. Now,
follow orders—
go forward
with the fullness of Christ
and serve the message
of God’s Word.
