A financial mistake rectified through prayer
One day my phone rang; it was a friend calling to tell me that a money transfer I had sent him had not yet arrived. A week had already elapsed. I said, “How could this be?” I had already received an official acknowledgment of the transfer. For two years my friend and I had been using the same bank account for mobile money transfers. He always received the money I sent.
We each went to the office of the money transfer operator nearest us (in Cameroon, where we live) to find out what happened. Afterward, my friend called to tell me that he had been informed that there had been an oversight during the transaction, as I had mistakenly entered the wrong account number.
I then contacted the manager of the branch office I’d visited and asked to review the statement listing the transactions for that period. He asked me to come by that Friday afternoon. This was a Tuesday, and my friend urgently needed the funds in order to start production on a time-sensitive work project.
