Neighborhood cat’s health restored
When I moved into my house, the neighborhood had quite a few feral cats. Several wandered onto my porch over the years. I put out food and water, and a few stayed on. A neighbor who had taken in one of these cats warned me that a cat disease was going around the neighborhood; she had to have her cat put down because of it.
At the time, I was feeding three cats daily. Months later, the one I’d been feeding longest, Simba, succumbed to the symptoms my neighbor had described. I was left with two cats living outside: a Siamese cat we’d named Tasha and a tuxedo cat named Sylvester.
A few months after I lost Simba, the Siamese cat showed up one day with the same symptoms. Despite the inability to eat and some trouble walking, she kept showing up. I admit that I didn’t have much hope for her, but I decided to pray for her anyway. A friend shared this Bible verse with me: “Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth” (Isaiah 40:26).
