A complete turnaround for our pet
In January 2010, our dog, Zoe, became very sick. She lost weight and wasn’t able to walk. We prayed and tended to her needs, maintaining that a physical condition didn’t have any bearing on Zoe’s identity as God’s beloved creation.
We called a Christian Science practitioner in March, and I continued to assist Zoe daily—carrying her around, taking her to all her favorite places, and cleaning her up. She had always been a “church dog,” and we continued to bring her to Wednesday evening testimony meetings and Sunday services.
I remember asking God one day, about a month into our work with the practitioner, “How is she going to walk again?”
