[“Communing with God,” Ruth Geyer, July 14, 2014, Sentinel]
Thank you so much, Ruth Geyer, for your excellent article. It brought to mind a memory of about 30 years ago. “Thank heavens You are here,” I thought as a skid on black ice sent my car across the opposite lane in front of an oncoming log truck, through a guardrail, and off an embankment that I had no idea how steep it was. It turned out to be about a ten-foot drop, and as the car landed, I praised and thanked God for keeping us safe. The damage to the car was substantial, but my friend and I were completely unharmed and very grateful. God’s presence, ever near and dear.
