Wonderful example
[“Yielding to God’s plan,” Charles Lindahl, March 3, 2014, Sentinel]
Your persistence in knowing the truth about God’s man is such a wonderful example for anyone who finds himself in disagreements of any kind. This experience is very encouraging, giving the reader a standard of what can be achieved when one goes to a higher spiritual level, and stays there, to solve a human dilemma. Thank you for sharing this demonstration of love for mankind.

Enlightening
Many thanks to the editors for their editorial in the February 17, 2014, Sentinel, “Choose God.” What a wonderful, enlightening, spiritual direction this is. It gave me a solid, new, and inspiring direction for prayer.

Article so clear
I am writing to thank you for Jill Gooding’s article “Ending the blame game” (February 3, 2014, Sentinel). The article is so clear and contains so much food for thought.
My own thoughts on this subject have recently focused on the example of Stephen (see Acts, chapters 6 and 7) who, when stoned by a gathering of false witnesses and accusers, cried, “Lord, lay not this sin to their charge” (7:60 ). Acts also states that “the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul” (7:58 ).
It occurred to me that the profound nature of Stephen’s forgiveness touched the understanding (the feet) of Saul so deeply that it led to his own transformation. The Apostle Paul (Saul’s new name in Christ) admits that the stoning of Stephen was a marker point in his own road in overcoming the effects of sin on the road to Damascus and in his subsequent healing mission.
Jill points out so beautifully in her article that neither “horse nor rider” is to blame: It is the subtle serpent of erroneous thinking that can be eradicated so thoroughly that even the contagious suggestion of blame is annihilated.
Thank you for this metaphysical article, which I appreciate deeply.

Very grateful
I am so very grateful for the loving support the staff at The Mother Church always extend to the Field and for the work they undertake to distribute the articles throughout the world. It is very much appreciated. Wouldn’t Mary Baker Eddy be pleased to see the depth of the distribution of her magazines, and the inroads against mortal thought!
