Everlasting arms of Love

Sometimes if I feel alone, or just not quite with it, I like to think of this verse from a hymn: “Everlasting arms of Love / Are beneath, around, above” (based on a hymn by John R. MacDuff, Christian Science Hymnal, No. 53).
And I like to remember that God is always loving me, always embracing me, and for me, the feeling of this love is like getting hugs from your dearest friends. I think it’s good to just consciously feel this love throughout our day because it helps us stay peaceful and balanced. And if I’m ever in a situation where I feel like I’m falling from a good place in life, I like to affirm that God’s loving arms are there to catch me. If I feel like I’ve already hit rock bottom, well, divine Love’s arms are there to pick me up. And if I’m striding into a new activity, I can find those loving arms all around me. Christ Jesus was so certain of God’s love that he said that more than 12 legions of angels were there to help him when he prayed to God. We, too, can call on divine Love in our need and experience a slew of angel thoughts beneath us, around us, above us, just loving us and intelligently guiding us forward with divine direction.
