Clear illustration
[“The final word,” Elizabeth Kellogg, October 7, 2013, Sentinel]
This illustrates so clearly the efficacy of turning to God and listening. The message “I was there first” is so powerfully reassuring. Thank you, Elizabeth, for sharing it in such a clear and logical way!

Plowing daily—and fearlessly
[“Can we take the yoke?” Bruce J. Smith, September 30, 2013, Sentinel]
I love the idea of “plowing” our thought-field—daily and fearlessly. A wonderful reminder—and made easier by realizing we’re yoked with the Christ to help us in those efforts to overturn. Thanks so much, Bruce.

Thank you for sharing your healing of this aggressive and persistent challenge imposed on so many of our teens of today. What an inspiration!

One of my favorite hymns
[“I listened to the Shepherd’s voice,” Jaclynn, September 30, 2013, Sentinel]
A beautiful testimony of God’s ever-presence! One of my very favorite hymns has always been “Shepherd, show me how to go” (Mary Baker Eddy, Christian Science Hymnal, No. 304) and I have begun many, many prayers with those six words. Thank you for sharing, Jaclynn.

A lovely reminder
[“Take the plunge,” Madora Kibbe, September 30, 2013, Sentinel]
Wow. What a lovely reminder to move from regret and remorse to positive action. Breaking the hold of a sad past can feel like taking a plunge. And that plunge of loving, living, caring, sharing, and forbearing is so refreshing! Thank you, Madora.

The key to growth
[“Single-minded prayer,” The Editors, September 30, 2013, Sentinel]
This seems to me to be the key to growth toward understanding God more and more. We are so not used to being quiet and listening. I pray I will take time daily to be quiet and listen.
