Defense against confusion
From Australia to China, the United States to Egypt and Zimbabwe, nations and individuals are grappling with complex economic and social problems. Analyses and reports sometimes add to the confusion and uncertainty about priorities. Prayer for clarity of thought individually, nationally, and internationally is vital, no matter where one lives. The Psalmist offers an invaluable insight, praying, “In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust: let me never be put to confusion” (Psalms 71:1 ).
Putting our trust in God, the one Mind, is a powerful defense against confusion at every level. Mortal mind, the source of confusion, would encourage uncertainty and would obscure wise and progressive solutions. Recognizing God as the one and only Mind eliminates mortal mind’s divisive influence.
