Break through to balance

Do you find yourself at times struggling with juggling the various aspects of your life—your career, your home life, your church and community work? How about making time for deeply studying the Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, by Mary Baker Eddy, time for consecrated prayer? If you could use some spiritual insight into how to turn your off-balance day into one of spiritual poise, peace, and progress, you’ll want to take a time-out and give some undivided attention to Jill Grimes’ cover story, “No balancing act necessary” (p. 4).

I can tell you firsthand the ideas she shares are healing ones. The day I reviewed this article for publication, I was feeling way off balance. Too much to do with too little time, and feeling as if I had too little skill to do it! Yet, within a short time of reading Jill’s article, the inspiring ideas she shares broke through the burden and frustration, plunking my thought, my day, my whole mental weight, in “the scale of Spirit,” God, where pressure and imbalance simply melted away.

Fred Andresen’s “God’s law of equality” (p. 6) is a must read, too. He talks about starting a business and how the basic laws, the balance, of supply and demand can be translated into spiritual terms. And though we won’t insist that you read every article and testimony—we do expect you’ll find the perfect balance of ideas you need in yet another inspiring, uplifting, and healing issue of the Christian Science Sentinel.
