No more pain–that's a promise
Keep in mind the verity of being–that man is the image and likeness of God, in whom all being is painless and permanent.
–Mary Baker Eddy,
Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 414
Some years ago, I had just returned from church one Sunday when I was gripped with an abdominal pain so severe it nearly knocked me to the floor. I reached out in prayer. I’d been learning some new ideas about healing from the Scriptures and from Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. One that impressed me most was that man, the son of God, is as perfect as his creator. Therefore all discord, pain, and suffering, however aggressive, can only be a mistaken sense of man’s origin, a false belief in a power opposed to God.
