I’ve been dancing since I was four. I have always wanted to dance, especially ballet. Being raised in Christian Science all my life has brought me a good spiritual perspective on the art form. Christian Science has helped me find a calm attitude, instead of being overwhelmed by exhaustion, frustration, or confusion. Looking to divine Principle for building strength has also been important to me. Knowing that I’m expressing God, not solely expressing my individual self, keeps me humble.

After taking my first summer workshop when I was 11, with a new and fascinating teacher, I decided that I wanted to pursue dance as a career.
