In this occasional series, individuals share how taking Christian Science Primary class instruction has strengthened their spiritual understanding, and brought increasing inspiration and healing to their lives.
It's no mystery
Though I’d grown up in Christian Science, I really knew very little about Christian Science class instruction. No one I knew well, including my mom, who was a longtime faithful church member, had taken the course. For some reason, during that time period, it seemed to me there was little open discussion about it among Christian Scientists. Class seemed kind of a “mystery.”
From what I’d heard, you were supposed to pray about it, and you’d have this sudden epiphany about which teacher to apply to and when. Kind of like the Christian Science version of the mystical saying, “When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”
