A harvest of spiritual fruits
Thanksgiving is a special time to give deep gratitude to God for the overflowing harvest of fruits we’ve each received from divine Life, Truth, and Love over the past year. National Bible Week in the United States is also celebrated during this time, which perfectly complements the purpose of Thanksgiving by honoring God.
This issue of the Sentinel shows how praising God brings a greater realization of the divine Love that “always has met and always will meet every human need,” as Mary Baker Eddy put it in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (p. 494).
In the lead article, Steven Salt invites us all to find a glimpse of our true purpose in life through praising God (p. 4). Liz Underhill follows by explaining how paying tribute to God will “pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it” (Malachi 3:10). Laura Remmerde’s poem of gratitude on the next page is imbued with the Thanksgiving spirit, rounding out the cover section—but it’s a praise-filled issue throughout! It’s a wonderful reminder of the rich inheritance of Christ-healing that Mrs. Eddy’s discovery of Christian Science has brought to humanity.
