Understanding Bell’s hell
It’s been 15 years since that “wanderer of the night,” Puck, put a “girdle” around Copley Square, Boston, in just 40 minutes. That first happened during a Commonwealth Shakespeare Company open-air production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Now, a Puck-like figure has done it again, this time darting right into Trinity Church on that same square to deliver one of Trinity’s annual Price Lectures. His name: Rob Bell, author of Love Wins (HarperOne, 2011), one of the most talked about religion books of the year so far.
It’s the subtitle that has really stirred things up: A Book About Heaven, Hell, and the Fate of Every Person Who Ever Lived.
