I just wanted to express my gratitude to Janet Horton for her article, “Spiritual Safety Briefing,” in the May 16 Sentinel [“A prayerful response to accidents”]. My first reaction was “Wow!” This is a perfect example of what is possible through prayer across the board, regardless of a person’s religion or spiritual beliefs. It gave me a boost as far as what I myself can do in praying for the world, and also revealed a truth I hadn’t really thought about before: that people, whatever their religious persuasion, are “naturally” attracted to healing prayer as it is taught in Christian Science.

I was so deeply impressed by Heather Frederick’s article, “New in town and prepared to bless,” in the June 6 issue [“Your unlimited potential”]. What a fresh and inspired perspective on human demand and divine supply was expressed in her beautiful statement “I promised myself that I would never leave the house until I felt rich in spirit as well as generous”—the initial half of an intelligently determined decision to be entirely and immediately obedient to any ideas that might enter her consciousness through earnest, expectant prayer on any given day. And then to see how her trusting expectations were so uniquely and lovingly unfolded in practical application—not only for her own needs but for those of others as well—was just wonderful. What a win-win Mind-set! I feel genuinely challenged to emulate the lovely ideas encountered here.
