Tooth and leg pain healed
A year or so ago, I was struggling with a constantly aching tooth, following some dental work on two other teeth. Then, as I was praying about this situation, I started experiencing sharp pains in my lower leg. I’d had enough!
Although I was praying about these things, I was feeling less than inspired by my study. I needed a sense of invigoration. Then I thought: “Now, right there is the nub of what ails you! You know very well that discouragement is just a trick of the carnal mind to keep you from thinking spiritually, in the way you know must result in victory. That’s mortal mind, animal magnetism, or whatever you want to call it, but it’s certainly not your thinking.”
I realized that nothing, whether it’s apathy or a seeming lack of interest, could hold me back in my prayers. God is the only “propellant,” the only motive, and the only motivator—and the only goal I can cherish. His inspiration is always available. Always fresh.
