When my car was stolen: how I prayed

Our family was accustomed to praying about everything in our daily lives, so when our car was stolen, we prayed about the situation. The police also came and took a report, and I so appreciated their concern.

I decided to separate the word automobile into two pieces and look up each one in the dictionary. To me, auto had to do with “one,” and mobile meant “movement.” So automobile was “one movement.” I prayed to know that we are always moving with integrity and honesty in the one infinite Spirit, God, the Alpha and Omega. During this time I also prayed that God has the first and the last word, and every word in between.

The first chapter of Genesis tells us that God created man in His own “image and likeness,” as well as, “And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very  good” (verses 26, 31). For me this spiritual view is the truth, and it is a divine law governing man. I expected to see this Christly view of restoration come under God’s outlining, God’s plan. It wasn’t up to me to figure out how this situation with my car would be resolved.
