Healed of alcoholism
In the past I used to live two lives. In the first one, I had grown up and completed my education. I found a job, married, and started a family. In the second, a secret life, I was desperately trying to find my way to God and to avoid evil with all its terrors.
I was born in Poland under the Communist system, when attempts were made to have faith, hope, and love cast out of the country. Alcohol was welcome, and I got accustomed to it soon.
I had been taught about God, but the prevailing message was that our Father in heaven would punish everybody for his or her sins, and, additionally, for the original sin, committed by Adam and Eve. Apparently it was all that God did. I could not understand how God, being Love, was doing everything except loving us.
