Healed of a sore ankle and a heart problem

I had the great pleasure of becoming acquainted with Christian Science about ten years ago, thanks to a neighbor, a faithful student of this Science who has a firm conviction of its effectiveness.

My first healing was of an ankle that had suddenly become painful. Two days after the problem started, I could no longer set my foot on the ground. I called a friend, a member of my church who is very effective in her practice of Christian Science, to ask her to help me through prayer. I had absolute confidence in the power of Truth, in the fact that the divine power would bring me healing, and this enabled me to acknowledge the nothingness of all evil. A few days later, while studying the weekly Christian Science Bible Lesson, I had to open the door to someone who was doing a job in our apartment. I was particularly absorbed in the spiritual ideas presented by this Lesson, and it was only three hours later that I realized I was now walking normally and all difficulties had disappeared.

In June of last year, I felt pain in one of my arms and my heart. I felt very ill during dinner and I fainted. My husband picked me up and placed me on the couch in the living room. When I regained consciousness, I explained to him that I did not want him to call a doctor because I wanted to be healed once again through prayer. I also asked him not to tell our children what had happened for the time being, because I did not want them to worry.
