A GREAT NEED

A quick tally of this year's stories shows that the Sentinel has made it a priority to focus on economic issues. And this is not surprising, considering that the economy has been uppermost on many people's minds, with the financial chaos the world has been facing. Despite signs of a slow recovery, many people are still concerned for the future.

As part of our magazine's purpose to respond to the world's needs, and to watch for the power of God, divine Love, Truth, and Life, at work, we continue to see a great need for collective prayer about the economy. As news editor Rosalie Dunbar writes: "The opportunities for financial fears—or, alternatively, for prayer—are vast. The beauty of choosing prayer over fear is that prayer leads to healing." In the article "God's certainty in uncertain economic times" (p. 20), she explores some of the spiritual gifts we all can share in contributing to economic restoration.
