In Chicago, black Baptists announced they would raise $50 million for health clinics, schools, and reconstructed churches in earthquake-devastated Haiti.
And in Miami, African American Baptists, Methodists, and Pentecostals decided to reestablish a Conference of National Black Churches to work together on health disparities, economic empowerment, and social justice.
