BURNS HEALED QUICKLY THROUGH PRAYER

In my early 20s, while taking college courses, I worked part time at a cafe as a waiter and barista. One particularly busy evening, as I was steaming some milk and attempting to multitask by taking more orders from customers at the counter, I inadvertently allowed the milk to overheat, which then went boiling over onto my hand, burning my thumb and fingers.

I got through that night at work with a great deal of discomfort while icing my hand in between each task. When I went home, the pain was still extreme. I went to bed, but the only way I could sleep was to hang my arm over the side of the bed with my hand in a pan of ice. When I would fall asleep, my hand would fall out of the ice, and I would be awakened by the pain.

Finally at midnight, I couldn't handle the pain anymore. I had been a serious student of Christian Science for about three years at that point, and having seen proofs that it healed, I decided to call a Christian Science practitioner for prayerful help. The practitioner answered the phone, and I told her I'd burned my hand and was in a great deal of pain. She agreed to pray for me. Within five minutes the pain was completely gone and never returned. Over the next few days the skin peeled a bit, revealing fresh skin, and the healing was complete.
