KEEPING OUR PROMISE TO GOD

THIS BIBLE LESSON titled, "Thanksgiving," praises God for His creation, love, healing, and grace.

As we feast at the banquet table of gratitude, what is required of us?

To "pay [our] vows," which means to keep our promises to God (Ps. 50:14, Golden Text). It appears in this Lesson that those promises include praising God, obeying the commandments, giving gratitude, and living a life of prayer. Keeping our promises adds a new dimension to thanksgiving. Often we give lip-service to all the reasons we are grateful, but what if we looked at thanksgiving from an assessment of how we've kept our promises to God?
