finding God—finding freedom
SENTINEL RADIO'S RITA POLITAN RECENTLY SPOKE WITH PHILLIP MAUBANE OF ATTERIDGE, SOUTH AFRICA, ABOUT HIS HEALING OF ALCOHOLISM. A TURNING POINT FOR PHILLIP CAME WHEN HE WANTED TO REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT GOD IS.
RITA: We're talking about breaking free from the restrictions of addiction. Phillip, you had an experience where you did that. Can you tell me what happened?
PHILLIP: About 40 years ago I was drinking excessively. There were many parties and most of the time I was drunk—and that was during Apartheid, when it was illegal for black people to drink beer or any alcohol.
