LETTERS

I'd like to thank Nate Talbot for his article "The Shepherd within," in the Sentinel of April 13. It struck such a chord of gentleness and caring. The spiritual intuition Mr. Talbot spoke about—to care for, guide, and be guided—felt comfortable and genuine. We had a sheltie for many years and were often the recipient of his gentle herding.

After reading Ned Odegaard's wonderful article "Rebuilding the world economy," in the April 20 issue with the same cover title, I was overwhelmed with such a sense of peace and comfort as I realized that of course Ned is right. He says: It isn't God's creation that needs rebuilding. Not God's creation. God's work is done and is perfect, indestructible and tenderly expressed. But the thought about God's creation does need rebuilding with obedience to Jesus' instruction to love all of humanity, even those who may have harmed us."
