A HOLY THING
The beautiful thing about worship is its ability to begin and take flight at any time, anywhere. Worship is many layered, a holy, healing thing.
When I think of worship, I think of kneeling God's presence, listening for Love's voice. Stories of Jesus and the prophets—bowing before God, washing one another's feet—have inspired my view. This striking image by Mary Baker Eddy has helped me, too, where she wrote of sitting "at the feet of Jesus" to "meekly bow before the Christ, the spiritual idea that our great Master gave of the power of God to heal and to save" (Miscellaneous Writings 1883–1896, p. 17).
Our relationship to the Divine is individual and very much a moment-by-moment experience. We hope you'll feel at home in this Sentinel's exploration of some unique ways people seek out that relationship.
