HEALED THROUGH PERSISTENT PRAYER

I've had many wonderful healings in Christian Science, some of them instantaneous. However, it's with much gratitude that I report a healing that took place over several years. As much as I appreciated the healing itself, I'm even more grateful for the spiritual understanding I gained through persisting in prayer.

About ten years ago, a lump formed on the front of my neck near my throat. There was no discomfort, and at first, it didn't concern me too much. Sometimes I didn't even think about it for weeks at a time.

After several years, though, the lump enlarged and became prominent to the point that two acquaintances commented on it and said I should have it looked at by a medical professional. I knew these observations were well-meaning, but in order to forestall further comments, I started wearing scarves and high-necked clothing. I also noticed that I'd begun clearing my throat excessively, and thought this might be an additional symptom I should be alert to.
