MY JOURNEY OUT OF ABUSE
"THE WAY LEADS UPWARD ..." There words from a hymn in the Christian Science Hymnal (Violet Hay, No. 64) certainly describe life's journey, as I have learned from several significant experiences in my own life, particularly my marriage.
Years ago, after I had found Christian Science, I met a man who I thought would be the perfect mate—one with whom I could share this philosophy and approach to life, which meant so much to me. After we married, my husband enrolled in graduate school, and I began teaching college classes. Our two children were born during that time, and we had a mostly good life.
