LETTERS

I'm writing to let you know that the poem "Forward" by Maike Byrd [July 21/28, "The adventure of Life"] has virtually changed my life. It's been sustaining me this past week. And now I've shared it with a relative who's having a challenging time. I can't begin to tell you how the power behind the words has comforted me and given me the strength to move forward. It feels like that poem was written precisely to address my thoughts and needs. As I read it, tears streamed down my face because I very much wanted to run, hide, and be left alone. The second part of the poem is the part that I memorized and would call to mind when fear and doubt would attempt to possess my thinking.

I continue to be grateful for some huge moves forward that have occurred in my life. And again, I see the power of God's Word, which is expressed so beautifully in this poem. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing it with readers. God is truly so good!
